It's amazing how fast things can change. It's amazing how situations can drastically shift all within a few seconds.
What's even crazier is that you can spend so much time in your life focusing on something and then something else comes in and completely changes your perspective.
And whatever was taking up all the space in your mind before exits quickly. It disappears as if it was never there before. Something that was causing you so much pain originally no longer has its roots in your mind.
When you're young, you don't really believe in the "timing of things." You think that life is just happening to you instead of for you.
But as you grow older, you learn that it doesn't just take a ton of effort put toward a situation to make it happen. Life doesn't really work that way. Sometimes you really do have to be in the right place at the right time to make something happen.
If you can really have faith in the timing of things, you won't rush everything and push your limits when you are being asked to back off a bit.
This has been running through my mind and changing the way I've been doing things. It makes me understand patience very well. It makes me understand, really, that patience is one of the marks of someone who truly is showing up in the world as how it actually is. When you are impatient, you are trying to make things happen forcibly...
That's the true path towards a happy life.
Patience and trust in something far bigger than you.
And as life will have it, when you start expecting the unknown to be a place of surprises and gifts, that's exactly what will happen.
In time, all things get better. In time, the universe will unfold to you.
