There are opportunities to help others all around you. You may need some motivation to help others, but all you need to do is take a look at yourself for that motivation. There are others out there that do not have the basic necessities that you have. Some don't have a roof over their heads and others don't have food to eat. So if you count all your blessings you will see just how fortunate you are compared to many others who don't even have a fraction of what you do. So when you think about People Helping People, it is a concept worth trying.
This is mainly because there is lots to do in the world and lots to do for others. There are many who don' have access to basic necessities such as food and running water. Many in places like Africa, do not even have homes to live in and they are left with other options but to to make their own houses with whatever land and resources they can find. Most of the time, this means living in unhealthy conditions.
You can do anything good for someone in need and it will be appreciated. You can give them food hampers, access to running water or offer them a roof over their heads. It doesn't matter what you do, all that matters is the thought. So don't down play anything that you ate thinking of doing for the next person.
Some choose to fly across the globe to help others. There is nothing wrong with this especially if you have the time and money to do so, however, if you want to help those who live in your very own community or one that is close by that is a great idea as well. The closer they are to home the easier it would be to start helping.
There is no specific time to start helping others. You can choose to do it at any time that you want. Some choose to help during the holidays and others choose to help when they think about others not having what they have. It is up to you, but if you could become a consistent helper, these people would be even more grateful to you for that.
It gives you a wonderful feeling knowing that you helped others.
